Several times I’ve read references you’ve written concerning Lego sale prices on Amazon. I’m pretty sure you’ve referenced particularly good sales after the holidays. However, whenever I go to Amazon to check on sets I’m given an overwhelming number of options. What then is the best way to find Lego deals on the site? Thanks!

Dear Chip,

The problem with Amazon is they list sets sold by a variety of retailers and individuals.  There are options to view sets from a specific retailer (toywiz, target.com, etc).  You can also check items by price.  Unfortunately, I am unaware of a way to not view items sold by individuals.

My suggestion is to research the top few sets that you are interested in purchasing.  Search for sets such as “Lego Eiffel Tower” or “Lego Green Grocer” on a regular basis to see if prices decrease.  I also recommend reading forums such as FBTB.net and BrickLink.com.  Members on these sites will often post links to online sales.

Sincerely,

LFan

You can also use the site http://camelcamelcamel.com/ to track prices. I’ve used it to buy LEGO and saved some good money.
