Damaged Set Sale

I found out that at BrickCon, Lego ships out damaged sets to sell at super-low prices. I can’t make the trip over to Washington, but is there any other place where lego sells their sets that got damaged in some way? (I know that I can ask someone nearby who is going to pick up sets for me, but I’d really rather not.)

Dear Justin,

Damaged sets are sold to attendees of large fan conventions (BrickCon, Brickworld, BrickFair, etc).  Purchase quantity limits have recently been added at these events to ensure that each attendee can buy a damaged set.  Often the damaged box sets are gone before fans at the end of the line get in the store.  It is unlikely that another fan would buy a damaged set for you because it would prevent them from getting one.

The heavy sales during conventions help fans offset travel and hotel costs.  Fans buy a very large amount of product over a weekend and this is great for the LEGO Brand Store.  My suggestion would be to attend a convention in the future.  Lego Stores usually do have a few sets half off during the regular year, but the selection is not as good as a convention sale.

Hi, in France there’s no convention so no low-prices…
